Leatherman Knifeless Fuse

I like to travel light and nine times out of ten will opt for carry-on versus checked luggage when I fly. However one of the biggest disadvantages to this strategy is you can't bring a trusty Leatherman or Swiss Army Knife with you. This has now changed. No, not due to new airline regulations, but because someone has finally introduced a travel-friendly, multi-tool.

Check out the Leatherman Knifeless Fuse. Pliers, scissors, screwdrivers, file, wire stripper, and bottle/can opener, with no knife blade! Pretty slick. I'm guessing other manufacturers will follow suit. What took them so long?

No doubt airport security will think it's a knife until you show them otherwise, but regardless, a welcome addition to the carry-on traveler's bag of essentials. (Remember though, U.S. airport rules don't apply everywhere, and I've been places where not just knives are banned from flights but also pliers and small screwdrivers. Check ahead to avoid making an unplanned "donation" to a guard at your destination.)
